Boondoggle Beers

Our Brewpub

Our Brewpub

We are planting our flag in Wethersfield!

Boondoggle has secured 245 Main Street, The long vacant Masonic temple in the center of the village.  This beautiful old building has sat rotting for far too long.

Our plans call for a 40′ bar along the North wall.  The bar top comes Maple street where an old maple tree was damaged by a fall storm in 2020.  The bar will serve wine spirits, cocktails in addition to our beautiful beers.  40 draft lines will ensure we will always be able to offer you a wide variety of our beers.

The tasting room will have a bit of a tavern vibe showcasing the building’s history within the community.  The wood floor where so many Wethersfield kids learnt to dance has been retained and patched.  We are hoping the people of Wethersfield will join us in making new memories on those very same hardwoods.  Communal tables/bar tops will be the key seating within this space.  It’s time to get to know your neighbors again.  It’s time for positive shared experiences.  An area of the tasting room will also be reserved for a cozy fire and loveseats for those long winter nights we tend to have in New England.

We won’t be able to open the 2nd floor just yet as we need to sort through some misconceptions of village parking, but we can’t wait to show you what that will bring to town.  The 2nd floor will be a performance space and community space that we can use for all kinds of events.  Need a venue for your 50th birthday? Looking for a place to host your Book Club?  Need to watch a World Cup Qualifier with friends for emotional support?  We got you.
Most importantly, you will be able to treat it like your living room.  Board games, dance parties, pajama night, garden club planning, or even just looking for a quieter yet still social place to answer e-mails from.  We will host book signings, TED talks, rehearsal dinners, fundraisers, Soccer viewing parties, Oktoberfest, themed dinners and general silliness.

To support these activities, we have designed the basement to include a full 550SF kitchen and almost 2000SF of brewing space.  The brewery will be driven by a custom designed 5BBL brewhouse.  5BBL (155 gallon) batches of beer will allow us to freely experiment, but it should also allow us to make enough beer to nearly supply the demands of the building.  We expect to continue to brew some beers with our contract partners off site, and then move that production to our Rocky Hill property.

If this sounds like the kind of place you will enjoy spending time, you may wish to consider participating in our Investors club or get on the Mug Club list.
