Boondoggle Beers is seeking investors in order to bring our unique tasting room concept to life.
What are we really talking about though?
Two things.
Firstly,
I am open to taking on an operating partner who would be an invested owner to work along side me to help bring our dreams to fruition. I am after all just one man and often times I need to be in two places at once, no matter how good my employees are.
Secondly,
We are seeking 10-100 people to invest a small but meaningful amount to become members of our Investors club.
Due to many (expensive) legal hurdles, we cannot sell securities and we cannot sign over any equity ownership without rigorous federal background checks as per current brewery ownership laws and FCC rules.
We can however offer you a lifetime membership in the Investors club.
The Investors club will be a better version of the mug club. You would have all the benefits of the mug club, but you would also never have to renew mug club membership. More importantly, your first beer is on us. That’s right, you get your first beer for free, for life. (1 per day maximum)
Your investment will also be repaid within 5 years of our grand opening.
The legal instrument we will use to manage this is a convertible note similar to those used by angel investors in tech firms. The difference is that our business will feed you beer as we grow and even after you are paid back. Our business is also based on tangible assets such as the many hundred kegs we own and brewing equipment which retain value even if the business or greater economy has financial troubles.
It is important to note that all these terms are subject to change as we finalize legal terms within the law of the land. We are however confident that the Investors club membership will be for life and provide you a lot more joy than some blue chip stocks.
Our new Facility is located on 8 acres of waterfront land in Rocky Hill, CT. It will include a 3,000 SF tasting room in a 1934 brick building. The tasting room has 6 overhead doors that will open towards the river views and a small patio. On the bluff overlooking the river we will build you a “beach” to take advantage of the views and a second bar to create an outdoor summer tasting “room”. We are also planning to expand the dock to allowing for seating or even weddings.
Besides the customer facing elements of the project, we will also be addressing production.
The brewhouse (Where we make the yummy stuff) will be located in a new, purpose-built structure attached to the tasting room. This will allow us the ability to be as modern and flexible as possible while saving all the historic charm for the tasting room. Our new Brewhouse will improve the quality of our existing offerings as we will have full control of our processes. We will also finally be able to show off just how interesting and dynamic our small batch offerings can be.

| 04 | We have an option to purchase our property at a pre-agreed price. Our landlord has a vested interest in our success, and we will never be priced out of our home. This guarantees long term stability. | ||
| 05 | Do you enjoy sipping drinks with your feet in the sand, a water view and a campfire nearby? We are bringing that to Rocky Hill. We will have a full bar which will allow us to weather industry changes by providing a unique experience. |
When do we expect to close funding? New Years seems as good a date as any.
With funding secured, we will hope to open within 6-8 months.
